Over medium-high heat, boil a pot of water and add salt. Follow package instructions to cook 8 oz fettuccine pasta until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and then drain the pasta.
While pasta is cooking, melt 4 tablespoons unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 3-4 cloves Garlic (minced) and saute until fragrant - about 1-2 minutes. Be sure not to burn the garlic.
